Sucker Punch looked back to the 1980s and asks if the right battles have been fought, let alone won, and you missed it….so did we, where was the promotion? according to the Royal Court Theatres website The Telegraph, Guardian, the Evening standard all 4 starred this production, apparently it was sold out …they said if you want to hide something from black people put it in anywhere but The Sun well the saying is actually a book but you catch my drift . Found a you tube video on a London tonight feature maybe it will come out on DVD sooner or later. But it is not to be confused with another film called Sucker Punch out on DVD now of course or the forthcoming movie called Sucker Punch staring Vanessa Hudgens out in 2011.

Roy Williams’ early work at the Royal Court was supported by Jerwood New Playwrights, in partnership with the Jerwood Charitable Foundation. His previous plays at the theatre include Lift Off and Clubland in the Jerwood Theatre Upstairs and Fallout in the Jerwood Theatre Downstairs, which was later made into a film for Channel 4.

Recent credits elsewhere include Category B, part of the Not Black and White season at the Tricycle and Joe Guy for Tiata Fahodzi at Soho Theatre.

I wonder which one is the Roy Williams one?
